A SCOURGE HATH BEFALLEN FAIRE KÖLN
In the year of our Lord Rat Godde 1350...
All across Europe, a mysterious contagion has ravaged town upon town, bringing swift death to all who come into contact with the dreaded pestilence.
In recent days, Köln (Cologne, to the foreigners) has been flooded with monks, scribes, and other learnéd folk pouring in for a meeting of the minds. Through some misguided medical conjecturing and long-held superstitions, they’ve finally settled on a culprit for their long festering infections: you.
With the fervor and zeal only a convention of medieval monks can muster, they swear that
they’ll bring an end to the sickness plaguing the continent. Now, on the morning of the convention, your Colony wakes to the news that your King, Reginald IV, has been captured! You’ve been tasked with rescuing him before the Enlightened make paté out of him.
You’ve devised a complex plan that requires precise timing in order to save your beloved king. The only hitch: YOU’RE A F**KING RAT.
BEHOLD RAT HEIST
Rat Heist is a new homebrew of Grant Howitt's Honey Heist one-page TTRPG, adapted by Emily Tworek. In it, you play as a medieval rat with a particular set of skills, torn endlessly between your rattish nature and your quest to achieve scientific enlightenment unbefitting of your kind.
To achieve your task, you must work together with your fellow rattes, infiltrate Death Con One, and rescue your King, all while cleverly besting your opponents, including the most fearsome of them all...The Inquisitor. (A rat of any goode sense shivers to hear its foul name fpoken aloud.)
What say you, little rat? Art thou up for the task?
